    friendly staff
    shared kitchen

This place suits me perfectly with its free wi-fi, shared kitchen, and laundry facilities. The friendly staff helped me find my lost wallet on my first stay, which I truly appreciate. I highly recommend it! I’m coming back next year.

    spacious room
    kitchen access
    entry code

The Pirates room is impressively spacious with a large bathroom, and the shared living room offers a fantastic view of Porto Pim Beach. Two well-organized kitchens for only seven rooms cater nicely to self-catering needs.

Although generally quiet, there were numerous closing doors at night and some rattling sounds that could disturb light sleepers. It's about a 30-minute walk from the ferry terminal, which wasn't clear initially, and the entry code for the building is a cumbersome seven digits, making it hard to remember.

    amazing views
    well-equipped kitchens
    shared noise

Loved my stay at Monte Da Guia! The views of Pico Volcano were fine, and both kitchens were perfect for self-catering. Just a short walk to Porto Pim beach made it even better. Only downside, noise from shared areas sometimes disrupted the peace.

    spacious room
    well-equipped kitchens
    stunning views
    communal noise

My experience at Monte Da Guia was exceptional. The spacious Pirates room and well-equipped bathrooms were impressive. The property features two fully stocked kitchens, which greatly enhanced our stay. It was also conveniently located within walking distance of essential amenities, allowing for easy exploration of the beautiful island of Faial. Additionally, the shared living room provided stunning views of Porto Pim Beach and Monte Pico.

    Occasional noise from communal areas.

    stunning view
    disturbing noise
    long walk

Stunning view of Pico Volcano from the shared living room.

I struggled with the noise from closing doors at night. it made sleeping difficult. Additionally, being a light sleeper, I found the sounds from the kitchen area disruptive. The 30-minute walk to the ferry terminal was longer than expected, and it was frustrating not to find taxis available late at night.

    efficient room
    well-equipped kitchen
    twin bed discomfort
    shared kitchen crowding
    limited staff assistance

Good communication allowed for easy check-in, and the air conditioning kept the room comfortable. The shared kitchen was well-equipped, perfect for self-catering. While the room was efficient and clean, the twin beds were not as comfortable as hoped. Having good blackout blinds helped for a restful night, but the shared experience with only two kitchens for seven rooms meant some inconvenience during peak hours.
